Get your POCT service ready for ISO 15189:2022

ISO 22870 is gone and POCT now lives inside ISO 15189:2022. This course turns the standard into a checklist you can actually execute, whether you are an NHS service holding accreditation or a private provider building the evidence for the first time.

Who this is for

  • Quality managers absorbing POCT into an existing 15189 scope
  • Private clinics and pharmacy groups that need credible, inspection ready quality systems
  • Consultant leads and lab managers accountable for POCT governance

What you will leave able to do

  • Explain exactly what changed when ISO 22870 was withdrawn into ISO 15189:2022
  • Map every relevant clause to a concrete document, record or behaviour
  • Run a gap analysis of your own service during the course, with our template
  • Build the risk-based approach assessors now expect, without inventing paperwork
  • Prepare staff for assessment interviews so nobody is caught off guard
  • Plan the route to accreditation, or to defensible good practice if accreditation is not the goal

Questions, answered

We are a private clinic, not an NHS lab. Is this for us?

Yes. The course explicitly covers the private provider route: what accreditation involves, and what defensible good practice looks like if you are not pursuing it yet.

Is ISO 22870 really gone?

Yes. ISO 22870 was withdrawn and its requirements were folded into ISO 15189:2022. Services were expected to transition by the end of 2025, which is why readiness is urgent now.

Will this get us accredited?

No course can promise that. It gives you the map, the templates and the assessor expectations. If you want hands on help, our readiness consultancy picks up where the course ends.

Does this count as CPD?

The course represents 6 hours of CPD with a certificate for your portfolio.

Can we pay by purchase order?

Yes, NHS and corporate purchase orders are welcome.
